Andy learned the hands-on basics as a teen by working as a groom, later as an exercise rider, and also as a freelance gallop boy.  In his early 20’s, he decided to try his hand at transporting horses.  While many other cargo companies specialized in long hauls, Andy focused on the local horse owners who needed safe, short hauls for their horses.  Hence, Andrew Simoff Horse Transport was started with a modest three-horse van.  As the company grew over several years, the number of vans did as well.  Meanwhile, Andy started training horses for his dad. His love of working with horses grew and he obtained his trainer’s license.

While Andrew Simoff Horse Transport was developing into a well-known lucrative business utilized by top trainers and owners, Andy continued to juggle his two passions – Training and Transporting.  When he is not dividing his time between the stables at Delaware Park and scheduling transports at Marshallton, he is enjoying his farm in Unionville, PA.  Andy is a very familiar face at Delaware Park, his favorite location to train and race.

It’s been a life-long journey from novice young horse-lover to experienced trainer and top-notch transporter.  Andrew Simoff has certainly enjoyed the ride!
